Another amazing moose encounter! It began when I spotted a mountain goat in the distance walking down a ridgeline. I REALLY wanted to get a closer shot of him, so I husteld up the trail to try and get myself in a position for a better vantage point. But, just as I arrived where I expected to see the mountain goat, I encountered a bull moose. I was almost to Blue Lake and just stopped to see what the moose would do and if I might also see the goat. To my delight and surprise, the moose saw me from ~250 yards away and eventually began walking my direction. Closer and closer he came, until he eventually decide to lay down near me. I spent about 45 or so minutes with him and then I tried to find the mountain goat -- to no avail. Awesome encounter with another semi-inquisitive moose.
