After staying the night at the Badger Campground, coincidentally, I left super early because of loud/annoying neighbors that took over the camp. I was a little bummed because I found some great raptors and would have stayed to photo them but the loud party people were too much for me so I drove out at dawn. But, I would have never seen this sleepy badger if I didn't head out... so at least that's a consolation prize. This badger didn't make a fuss or anything. It seemed slightly curious about me, but preferred to go it alone. I thought I heard pups, and I'm not sure if they went underground or just slipped away into the thick sage. I wanted to try and follow, but decided to just leave it be. Very cool creature to finally photo.
