The big views, diverse terrain and range of wildlife in Gila Wilderness continues to bring me back to southwestern New Mexico. Storms dominated this particular visit, but that was expected and thankfully the weather was decent enough to capture a few nice moments. Mexican wolves have been the main photographic objective on my trips to the area, but they remain elusive unfortunately. Second on the list this time was to find a herd of bighorn. There are lots of little stories and far too many pictures to share, but here are a handful of images from my time there most recently. Looking forward to another trip sometime when I can do a better job capturing the unique character of this area.
