I haven't been out much in the last week or so, but on today's leap-year hike I only saw birds. Hints of spring were in the air. The brown creeper was a nice surprise, but unfortunately I couldn'... I haven't been out much in the last week or so, but on today's leap-year hike I only saw birds. Hints of spring were in the air. The brown creeper was a nice surprise, but unfortunately I couldn't get a shot with any good light. Still fun to see them up close. And, the pygmy nuthatch trio was a real treat. It's hard enough for me to get a picture of one, but to have three all together for a millisecond was neat fun to see.
