Not a lot of pics today, but there were a lot of happy birds out and about today. A pair of woodpeckers let me sit closely with them which was a nice treat. Another fun exchange was with a group ... Not a lot of pics today, but there were a lot of happy birds out and about today. A pair of woodpeckers let me sit closely with them which was a nice treat. Another fun exchange was with a group of Chickadees. Those that know me well have heard my love/hate relationship with Nuthatch and Chickadees -- but as long as it doesn't involve pecking on my house, then I have no issue with them :) . So, lately I've been photographing them more often and I joke with them that they need to come get close for a good picture so that I can repair all the damage they've done. Well, today the chickadees got closer than ever. At one point they were literally hopping around my boots, but I didn't get an pics because it was so close, fairly brief and I opted to watch them through my eyes for a moment instead of the camera. They stuck around for a handful of really nice close-ups. Here are a few from today-
